Yet AGAIN, Andersen Windows came to my rescue at “this old house,” YET AGAIN doing an IMPECCABLE job, their product AND installation workmanship “INCOMPARABLE.” “If ONLY” every potential customer could witness for themselves the expertise and care of Greg and his A Team, they wouldn’t let ANYONE ELSE NEAR their windows. Andersen Windows may cost more, but they, their EXPERT installers, and FIRST RATE Customer Service ARE WORTH IT.

Hi, Matt. Please email customerfeedback@esler.com with your contact information so we can look into your concern. Thank you.
TLDR: high prices for poor quality control and even worse installation. They would be ok for a low end home, if you are desperate or if you plan to sell soon. You would probably be better off at a big-box hardware store. Full Read: Door to door sales should be your first clue that this company will underperform. If their product and service is so great, why are they out soliciting?? Unfortunately, I was stupid and fell for it and now want to help prevent others from falling into the same trap. It started back in July when I was doing some yardwork and their door to door guy ended up on my lawn. He seemed nice so I didn’t immediately toss him and after a few mins of chatting I found out that they do patio doors; something that I was in need of. I thought it was serendipity, but it turns out it was just stupidity. When you meet the sales people, they expect you to have both partners available. Yet another clue that they are scammers but I didn’t care and told them we’d both be there even though I knew it would be just me. The salesperson, Melissa, was actually knowledgeable, helpful and creative (at least I thought) and after about an hour I decided to pull the trigger on an $8000 door. The install date was set for October. My FIL sat at the house for us during the install by their 20 year old expert and sadly I came home to find multiple issues. Poor quality manufacturing was my #1 complaint. There were staple holes every 12” around the door frame, there are globs of silicone at the corners, there was no grommet for the kick lock, a poorly drilled hole for the kick lock, they left a gap between the cabinets and the trim with visible demo work and screws, the threshold is not colormatched and must be stained (never mentioned), they ignored the alarm wiring from the previous door and buried it in the wall creating a fault in the alarm system, and the interior grill rattles like crazy when you close the door. The door did slide really easily though. I get in touch with Melissa in sales and she assured me that they will make it right and satisfaction is their #1 goal. I had to speak to 3 different managers (one was in Florida) and even have one come out and do an inspection (more time out of work to meet). They all agreed it was defective and they would redo it. Door was remanufactured and a vnew date set for November. They had to cancel for that day and push it back a week...annoying yet again because I had taken a day out of work. They finally come to put the new door in and it's just the glass doors. They did nothing to remedy the gap in the trim, the alarm or the visible demo work, but they did add a grommet for the kick lock. The new doors also came with staple holes, globs of silicone and loud rattling interior grills. My wife was home and immediately pointed out the staple holes. The installer says “they all come like this and they have to be patched with putty.” Not 1 of the 3 managers I spoke to including the one that came to do the inspection said this. So basically they gave me new doors that were the same as the old doors that they could have just added some putty. In the end, it feels like no one really knows what they are doing. Amateurs at best but at premium pricing. With all of the companies out there, I feel like I was ripped off for what I got. I’d have been just as well off going to the local big-box hardware place and having them do the job for half the cost.

Hi Brian, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We've passed this along to the team.
Jason came out to confirm our major change to old 5 windows on one wall sizing down to 3. He was extremely thorough and professional. Explained and confirmed the designed is what we want.
