Find Renewal by Andersen in Des Plaines, IL

I will definitely think twice before picking the business with a well-known name that pops up first when I do a Google search. As of January 11th, I have still not received the estimate from the rep who came to my home on December 24th. He said he would send it from his car after he left my house. He never did. He never followed up. The small business I contacted to compare estimates with Renewal by Andersen has already reached out twice, plus the estimate. Also, what is with these prices? They start you off with all the bells and whistles and say they can get the price down once you make adjustments. There was barely a difference once the more expensive features were replaced with more basic features. Why not start with the basics and then add on the more expensive features? The estimate for two storm doors and two main doors was over $34,000, which is $20,000 more than the small business I contacted. The rep also did all of his "building" of the doors (which is just selecting a few things off his tablet), went out to his car for samples, and then came back and said, "I forgot the storm doors." How do you forget the doors you literally opened to get into my home? He even measured them, which is another scam by this company. They offer you a minor discount for not having to measure twice when we all know, and the rep even said, the guy who actually installs the doors will measure again. This was just nonsense. Lastly, the rep arrived 20 minutes late...on Christmas Eve. My whole day was thrown off because I had to make up time for his tardiness. He didn't even apologize. He just said he had car trouble and issues parking. I didn't ask for them to come that day and even checked with the customer service guy if that was really necessary. What a waste of time this was. Don't bother if you're looking for doors and windows. Look elsewhere.

Everything from start to finish was great, and most importantly the windows are beautiful and especially the woodworking craftsmanship on the inside framing. We have a 100 y/o home, so it was important to us to have the woodworking be spot on; and it’s actually better than I imagined. Thanks Andy and his crew!!

I just had Anderson Windows installed, I feel the difference already. There's no drafts of cold air anymore. I have to lower the temp on my thermostat they're just that good. The Anderson window crew that installed the windows were extremely nice and courteous. Anderson Windows to my opinion are the best window that's made.

Complete failure and absence of professionalism. Contracted for a sliding door and window job, but over 4 months later, Anderson has chosen to ghost us. We had a salesperson, Josh, come to our home and sell us on a door and window. We’ve come to discover over 4 months later after signing a contract that the job he sold us, can’t be executed. Did anyone from Josh to the person who came a week after Josh to take measurements and left his equipment outside our house, to the “concierge” assigned our job bother to even tell us they cancelled our job? No. What incredible disrespect you’ve shown us as a customer. The least you could do is reimburse us the cost of the city permit you made us get for the job you’re no longer performing.

Everything was perfect. The installers were personable, professional, and very meticulous. The windows were even nicer than I had imagined; and the blinds were rehung perfectly. I was surprised at the lack of dust. I would be happy to recommend Anderson to anyone - they would not be disappointed.

We recently had a new patio door installed by Renewal by Andersen. We went with Andersen because we thought they were the best. Paid $10,000+. Big mistake! Tonight is the first rain we’ve had and the new door is leaking terribly. Much worse than it was before the new door was installed. Needless to say we could not be more disappointed.

3rd set of windows replaced! Hated to do it but the 100yr old casement needed to go. RbA Install Team did a terrific job!
