• Rebuilding Together
Renewal by Andersen of San Francisco is proud to support Rebuilding Together. For the last 3 years, we have partnered with Rebuilding Together to fundraise and complete several home improvement projects in our communities. There are 22 million low-income families in the United States. 4.5 million are elderly and live alone, 3.7 million are disabled. Many choose between food and medicine or a roof that does not leak. Rebuilding Together works to ensure that low-income homeowners, particularly older adults, military veterans, people with disabilities and families with children, have warm and safe homes and can maintain their independence. In addition to monetary donations, we have also donated materials and products to projects. Our employees volunteer regularly to complete numerous home improvement projects. We have built ramps to allow disabled homeowners to more easily enter and exit their homes, installed grab bars in bathrooms, fixed leaks, repaired fixtures and home appliances, painted, and, of course, installed windows and patio doors. Our employees have also contributed their own time, money, and labor to this project. We are so proud of them and of the impact we’ve made on so many individuals over the past year. One of the best things about this project has been getting to see the reactions of the homeowners when they walk back into their home after the work is complete.
