Review of Renewal by Andersen We needed two kitchen windows replaced, and one of the companies that responded to our request was Sam from Renewal by Andersen. From the moment he walked into our home, you could feel Sam’s enthusiasm for his job and his total belief in the company he represents. He kept our full attention for close to an hour … his animated storytelling skills were outstanding. He kept us engaged and wanting to learn more. He educated us on the differences between several types of windows, the frame construction, the glass types, even the screen is engineered to be almost invisible yet air flows through at a steady stream. We also had been wanting to replace our patio door. It is the original door from 25 years ago when this house was built so the drafty cold air kept the kitchen cold. Sam worked out the payment plan that was best for us. And within an hour or so, our windows were no longer something we were going to do one of these days. Delivery was scheduled and within a month or so, our windows and patio door arrived on time! We were excited to see how good they looked without windows coverings. And the patio doors were sealed … there was no way cold outside air was coming inside. One issue that really sold us on the company was Sam telling us how great it is to work with his organization who responds promptly to customer issues should they arise. He spoke for a long while telling us about the process to ensure the highest quality installation. He went into great detail about the procedure Andersen uses when bringing in other teams to fix something that was not done correctly. Sam’s word meant something to us. And as he promised, all the installation work went extremely well, and every person we dealt with throughout the process was respectful, courteous, and helpful. Well, not entirely. The team that paints the woodwork around the new patio door did not tape off the house siding where it meets the wooden door frame. They did not wipe off any of the paint on the siding on either side of our new doors. It looks like they just splashed the brush with paint and ran it up and down the wood and our siding. No cutting in was done. Reece from the local Renewal by Andersen office called and came out the same day and examined the work. Reece gave us several options for fixing the paint on the siding and after much discussion, we took his advice. He scheduled a time for the work to be performed when the weather is clearer and warmer for outside painting to dry and seal. Renewal by Andersen, really does believe in quality customer service. Everyone we have been in contact with has been phenomenal. I would be hard-pressed to name another organization with like-minded people who believe in the company and the product. Our salesperson, Sam, and recently, Reece from Installation have been a joy to work with. Their level of customer service is reminiscent of the Sam Walton days where family values, fairness, and respect were the engine behind the company. Reece and Sam are two people who totally believe in their company and the products and services they provide. You can tell both men are very much customer-service oriented and that gave us the confidence we needed to make the investment. Renewal by Andersen really does represent excellence in quality and their customer service is outstanding. Cindy Lou
Do not hire this company under any circumstances. This has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences I've ever had with a contractor. The project was delayed over and over again with little to no communication. I constantly had to chase them down for updates because they are nearly impossible to reach. Calls aren't returned. Emails go unanswered. When someone finally responds, it's excuses and finger-pointing. When the doors finally arrived, one was already damaged. Instead of taking ownership and fixing it promptly, they dragged the issue out and made it my problem. Repair appointments were scheduled and then completely missed - no call, no explanation, no respect for my time. The installation quality was unacceptable. The doors were poorly installed, sealing was done incorrectly, and trim was left unpainted. There are visible gaps and unfinished areas that look rushed and careless. They even left manufacturer stickers stuck all over the new doors. It looks sloppy and unprofessional. To make matters worse, they damaged the surrounding walls during installation and left without properly addressing it. For the amount of money spent, the lack of workmanship, communication, and accountability is outrageous. This company does not stand behind its work and does not respect its customers. Save yourself the stress, wasted time, and extra repair costs — hire literally anyone else. UPDATE: I finally had someone respond to ME, not my husband. I’m hoping this will all be settled in the next couple of weeks.

We take customer concerns seriously and have made multiple good-faith efforts to address the issues raised in this complaint.
Over the course of this project, our team has:
Reordered product at our expense
Provided items not included in the original contract
Scheduled multiple service appointments to complete finishing work and address concerns
Conducted in-person visits from senior leadership in an effort to resolve matters directly
Unfortunately, despite repeated outreach by phone, email, and in-person visits, the homeowner has declined scheduled service appointments and has refused access for us to complete the corrective work offered.
We remain willing to resolve any outstanding workmanship concerns and complete any contracted finishing work. However, in order to do so, we must be granted access to the home in a professional and safe working environment.
We respectfully request that the homeowner contact us to schedule a mutually agreed-upon service date so that we may bring this project to completion.
Our goal has always been to complete the work to professional standards, and we remain prepared to do so.

I had a very old window with shelves. The glass panes were separate for each section. It was very drafty and though it was double paned, it was not safety glass. Anderson replaced it with a single panel of insulated safety glass. My woodwork was unaffected and a shelf was installed to replace the previous openings.
Great experience from the 1st phone call to post installation. Windows are wonderful. Everyone has been great as far organization and speed of response to questions. We really like that you are assigned people to help you, and informed every step of the way. We would definitely use them again.

No cutting in was done. In early December, I sent an email to Andersen and included photos but no one responded. In early January, I contacted Sam and he turned in a work request. After another two weeks, I asked Sam if he could check on the service request. He re-submitted another one. Another week and still no word from anyone. I sent him a message and asked him to ask his supervisor to call me earlier in the week, but not a word. The product is outstanding. Sam’s knowledge of the industry and the company is Impressive. And I would recommend Renewal by Andersen with the warning that if you find something wrong, there is no service after the installation. Renewal by Andersen totally ignores you. Regardless of what Sam told us and what sold us on choosing the company was the service AFTER the installation. Regardless of what Sam promised in his presentation, we have not been contacted by anyone from the company, and we are talking close to 12 weeks. Cindy Lou

So disappointed in my new front door by Anderson the new sidelightwindows are a foot wide and make it look more like a window than a private entry way
