Find Renewal by Andersen in Des Plaines, IL

I would not recommend Renewal by Anderson Windows. There are several reasons for this. I have Anderson Windows on my house so why I use them. First, Renewal by Anderson is owned by Anderson Windows but it’s a different company as they are Fibrix material and made differently. However, they look different on the exterior aesthetically—doesn’t match the other Anderson windows on my house right next to it. There also is an exterior gap at the bottom of the Renewal windows which actually shows the opening mechanism. Every Anderson employee said this was a common problem. If that is the case, why didn’t my salesperson mention it during her sales pitch? An Anderson Renewal guy followed up on my “exterior gap” concern and did a 1/16” adjustment on the opening mechanism which didn’t make a difference. Also, the salesperson did not clarify that they were going to encase the exterior of my window with aluminum that gutter people use. She never went over that. Got that information after the fact…looks cheap! Secondly, these windows (ACLAIM Fibrix Renewal by Anderson) sell for an exorbitant “big sale” price of $3000 for one single smaller casement window and I had 4 singles. They are not the genuine window Anderson company—misleading. In 2020 I needed three new huge casement windows in the back of my house and was quoted by Anderson windows. It was an expensive quote so I had a private contractor come out and quote the job for some Anderson windows. I had one of the huge windows closed up so they quoted and did a decent job on two huge casement Anderson windows. But those two huge casement windows look different on the exterior than the 4 single Casements I just had put in this year, 2026. The huge 2 casements look better. But the problem and concern with Anderson Windows is you never know what you’re going to get! They are all made differently and none of them look like the original casement Anderson Windows that I have on my house from 199O which look better aesthetically and work well. That’s what you get when Anderson Windows buys up companies.

Daniel and crew were excellent from start to finish! Arrived on time and install was completed without delay. Our house was well taken care of throughout the process - drop cloths, plastic sheeting, etc. And things were left spotless. Highly recommend them if you’re considering replacing widows.
