Renewal by Andersen Employees Lend a Hand to Help Puerto Rico

 

COTTAGE GROVE, MINN. (October 2017) — On Tuesday, Oct. 17, nearly 50 employees of Cottage Grove-based Renewal by Andersen LLC, the start-to-finish window replacement division of Andersen Corporation, spent time volunteering with Meals from the Heart, packing meals to support hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico.

“Renewal by Andersen’s commitment to giving back to the community is one of our core values and is something we strongly encourage throughout the organization,” said Paul Delahunt, president of Renewal by Andersen. “We are proud of our employees for their on-going commitment to giving back and are grateful for partners such as Meals from the Heart that allow us to come together and help others when they need it the most.”

The volunteers packed more than 14,000 meals, which will arrive to Puerto Rico by this Friday, Oct. 20. 

“Minnesotans are known for their charitable spirits, and really step up in times of crisis,” said Tom Thiets of Meals from the Heart. “We’re thankful for volunteers like the team from Renewal by Andersen that help us achieve our mission of providing food to our neighbors in need.
