This web site contains a list of Renewal by Andersen® windows, and glazed doors  that are ENERGY STAR® qualified.  The IRS has indicated that homeowners may rely on the ENERGY STAR label on windows and skylights to determine if such products qualify for the tax credit for nonbusiness energy property under section 25C of the Internal Revenue Code in a particular climate zone (see IRS Bulletin No. 2006-11 (Notice 2006-26) March 13, 2006).  The same approach should apply to glazed exterior doors as well.  The IRS has not expressly addressed the application of this provision to glazed exterior door at this time.  Renewal by Andersen expressly disclaims any responsibility for determining whether a particular product qualifies for the tax credit.  Further, Renewal by Andersen does not intend to and is not providing legal or tax advice on this web site and recommends that purchasers consult their own tax advisor to determine whether the products they purchase qualify for the tax credit.
