In-Kind Donation to Opportunity Partners

On June 19, Renewal by Andersen donated and installed 42 energy efficient windows in Opportunity Partners’ Jorgensen House in South Minneapolis, which is home to five adults with developmental disabilities.

A crew of 15 installers worked all day to replace the windows in the 90-year-old house, keeping the integrity of the original design and ensuring the home would have durable, energy-efficient windows for years to come. It was hard to tell who benefited more, the residents of Jorgensen House, or the Renewal by Andersen employees, who felt a great sense of pride to be part of the project.

“Community engagement is a core value at Renewal by Andersen. The mission of Andersen Corporate Foundation is to better people’s lives and strengthen the communities where employees live and work through volunteerism and sponsorship,” said Tim Pepera, General Manager of Renewal by Andersen, Twin Cities. “This project with Opportunity Partners gave us a chance to do just that. We are pleased that we were able to help improve the quality of life for the residents of the Jorgensen House.”
